Lisa Garland

National Trainer and Coach


Lisa Garland, MS, is a National Trainer and Coach at Innovations Institute, University of Connecticut School of Social Work. Lisa supports workforce development in navigating systems, building effective wraparound teams, and identifying underlying needs and resources for youth and families with complex challenges. She also supports workforce development in the training and certification of Wraparound supervisors, local certified coaches, and frontline staff who partner with young people and their families in the Wraparound process. Lisa has over 20 years of experience collaborating with local and state systems including child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, and education to support the best fit for families in need of care. Lisa’s experience and understanding of system of care values, organizing principles, and knowledge of funding streams and overall implementation, along with her systems structure and financing experience have been assets in partnering with state agencies to provide technical assistance with implementation of Wraparound. Lisa holds an MS in the counseling of exceptional children from Wright State University, Dayton, Ohio.
