Matt Stern

Educational Program Assistant


Matt Stern, MA, is an Educational Program Assistant at Innovations Institute, University of Connecticut School of Social Work. Matt applies his background in virtual webinar coordination and moderation, technology and communications, and social justice praxis to provide relevant support for Innovations Institute initiatives. Matt is primarily responsible for the facilitation of webinars via online virtual platforms, such as Zoom, to support subject matter experts in delivery of presentations and trainings. In prior roles, he adapted facilitated virtual workshops into virtual training resources and provided policy consulting on both professional development (PD) and diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ). Matt earned his Master of Arts in Women’s Studies from the Center for Gender, Sexualities, and Women’s Studies Research at the University of Florida and his Bachelor of Arts in Women’s and Gender Studies (with a minor in Cinema and Cultural Studies) from SUNY Stony Brook University.
