Meredith W. Gunn

Director of Instructional Technology and Media


Meredith W. Gunn, PhD, MSW, is Director of Instructional Technology and Media at Innovations Institute, University of Connecticut School of Social Work. In this role she serves as an expert in online training development, production, and implementation and is responsible for managing the learning management system and developing media products, including animations, expert videos, online trainings, learning aids, webinars, and virtual conferences. Dr. Gunn previously served in this role at The Institute for Innovation and Implementation at the University of Maryland School of Social Work. Dr. Gunn’s research focuses on the efficacy of online workforce development in child serving systems and the role of Social Learning Theory, Technology Acceptance Theory, Cybergogy, Cognitive Load Theory, and Computer Self-efficacy in the transfer of knowledge to practice when teaching using technology. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County (undergraduate) and the University of Maryland School of Social Work, where she earned both her MSW and PhD.
