Shammica Jones

National Trainer and Coach


Shammica Jones is a National Coach and Trainer at Innovations Institute, University of Connecticut School of Social Work. Shammica has over 15 years of experience working with children and families with complex behavioral health needs. Since 2012 Shammica has been training and supervising care coordination programs in the Wraparound model. She has worked within the System of Care to partner with stakeholders including family members to ensure that youth receive the care they deserve. As an experienced trainer, Shammica has trained hundreds of individuals in the Wraparound practice model and has assisted with certifying new trainers and coaches. Shammica holds a BA in psychology from Southern Connecticut State University and has received extensive training in child development and trauma-informed care. In her current role, Shammica supports workforce development and the certification of new trainers and coaches.
