Natalie Richey

National Trainer and Coach


Natalie Richey, MSW, is National Trainer and Coach at Innovations Institute, University of Connecticut School of Social Work. Ms. Richey has more than 25 years of experience working in the mental health field. She has experience in child and family serving systems, and implementing Wraparound at the individual, county, state, and national levels. Ms. Richey also worked in hospice and developed community supports for older adults and adults with mental illnesses. For the past 13 years, Ms. Richey has worked at the organizational, county, state, and national levels developing and providing training, coaching, and technical assistance to the Wraparound workforce. In Ms. Richey’s current role, she is responsible for overseeing state, organization, and provider efforts around system of care development/reform, child serving system workforce development initiatives, and Wraparound implementation across multiple states. She has trained, presented, and coached on Wraparound implementation; best practices in workforce development, dissemination, and implementation; as well as provided individualized, intensive statewide support to more than seven states. Ms. Richey has designed, developed, and implemented in-person and virtual Wraparound training and technical assistance curricula using a variety of complex activities inclusive of adult learning techniques and driven by implementation science. Ms. Richey has experience utilizing data collection instruments and procedures to evaluate the effectiveness of training and coaching. Natalie holds an MSW from the University of Mississippi and a BSW from the University of Mississippi.
