Elizabeth Hoey

Senior Program Specialist


Liz Hoey, MSW, is a Senior Program Specialist at Innovations Institute, University of Connecticut School of Social Work. Liz specializes in managing programs that improve outcomes for youth in foster care, families facing financial challenges, and young people experiencing housing instability and homelessness. Liz currently works with the Maryland Department of Human Services on the Children’s Quality Service Reform Initiative, the Nevada Department of Health & Human Services on the Nevada Family First Prevention Services Act plan, and with the State of Connecticut Office of Early Childhood (OEC) UConn Partnership as a Special Projects Coordinator on the 2Gen Initiative to expand Connecticut’s Career Ladder Identifier and Financial Forecaster (CLIFF). Liz received her MSW with a concentration in Community Action and Social Policy from the University of Maryland School of Social Work.
