Goldie Morton, PhD, is Senior Educational Program Administrator at Innovations Institute, University of Connecticut School of Social Work. In this role, Dr. Morton develops programs to meet the needs of the workforce serving children and families. This work includes development of online curricula as a leader and subject matter expert (SME), as well as a collaborator and editor with other SMEs. In her previous role at The Institute for Innovation and Implementation at the University of Maryland School of Social Work, she led development of curricula related to the Residential Child and Youth Care Practitioners online training program, as well as collaborated on numerous curricula including the National Adoption Competency Mental Health Training Initiative (NTI), Wraparound, Trauma-Informed Social Emotional Foundations of Early Learning (SEFEL), Enhanced Youth Transition Planning (E-YTP), Systems of Care (SOC), Unstuck and On Target, and Partnering for Success (PfS). Dr. Morton previously was Adjunct Professor of Family Science at the University of Maryland, Assistant Professor of Family Studies at Towson University, and a Family Educator/Parenting Group Facilitator/Couples Course Facilitator at the Institute for Family Education. She received her PhD in Family Science, as well as her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland, College Park. She also completed her certification in Family Mediation from the University of Maryland School of Social Work.
